The map shows four different categories: 

Category Colour Description
Bushfire Prone Vegetation - Category 1 Red Forests, woodlands, heaths and wetlands greater than one hectare
Bushfire Prone Vegetation - Category 2 Orange Forests, woodlands, heaths and wetlands less than one hectare within 100m of Category 1 or 30m of Category 2
  Rainforests, shrublands, open woodlands, mallee and grasslands
Bushfire Prone Vegetation Buffer Zone Yellow 100m on Category 1 and 30m on Category 2
SEPP (Housing for Seniors or People with a Disability) 2004 Exclusion Zone Blue Restricts further development of housing for seniors or people with a disability such as retirement villages and nursing homes
