Putarri Reserve in St Ives

Putarri-reserve-hero-image.png

Council is developing plans for the upgrade of Putarri Reserve. The Reserve is being upgraded as part of our long term plan to improve parks and playgrounds in areas of high need. A range of play based and other activities will be provided for various age groups and abilities.

What's proposed?

The upgraded reserve is designed to serve residents who are generally located within walking distance.

Features include:

  • A playground catering for a range of age groups and abilities
  • Open areas of lawn for relaxing and sitting
  • Exercise facilities
  • A number of seats, a shelter and picnic table
  • Playful animal sculptures
  • An accessible path network to link the park’s activity areas

Community involvement so far

The design for the new park is built on a foundation of community feedback. In 2017 Council consulted the community on what they would like to see in the new park through a postal survey, online survey and a ‘draw your own playground’ sheet for local children. Community feedback was analysed and applied to the design process.

You can view a sample of the community’s feedback and the design response below.
