Wild with Words poetry competition

Winners have now been notified and prizes distributed. A book showcasing the winning and highly-commended entries will be published in 2024.

Primary school students (Years 1-6) across Ku-ring-gai were invited to submit words and illustrations about a favourite animal, plant, tree or special place in nature, sharing their love and respect for the green heart of Sydney in this annual poetry competition. We had so many wonderful entries this year, with over 300 entries submitted in total. Below are our winners and highly commended entries.
