Planning proposal - new and extended Heritage Conservation Areas (Wahroonga, Turramurra, Pymble and Gordon)

About the project

Council is seeking comment from the community on the Planning Proposal to amend the Ku-ring-gai Local Environmental Plan 2015 and Ku-ring-gai Local Environmental Plan (Local Centres) 2012 to include several new and extended heritage conservation areas in Wahroonga, Turramurra, Pymble and Gordon.

A Planning Proposal is the process that Council follows to make changes to Local Environmental Plans (LEPs). An LEP is a legal document that specifies which land uses are permitted and what development can occur.

Being included on the LEP within a heritage conservation area ensures that any change to properties within the HCA respects and retains the heritage values which are significant. This planning proposal will help protect Ku-ring-gai's historic buildings and streetscapes for future generations to enjoy.

From Friday 15 September 2017 to Monday 23 October 2017 the planning proposal and supporting information will be available for you to view at Customer Service, Level 4, 818 Pacific Highway, Gordon and at the Turramurra Library, 5 Ray Street, Turramurra and the Gordon Library 799 Pacific Highway, Gordon. Comments received by Monday 23 October 2017. See below on how to make a submission.
