Recent changes have been made to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 to replace the requirement to publish planning notices in a local newspaper with online publication.

Consolidation of Development Control Plans
On 25 August 2020 Council resolved to adopt the consolidated Ku-ring-gai Development Control Plan. This Plan consolidates the existing Ku-ring-gai Development Control Plan with Ku-ring-gai Local Centres Development Control Plan. The consolidation aligns with Council’s decision to consolidate Ku-ring-gai’s two Local Environmental Plans.
The consolidation involved a merging of the two existing Development Control Plans and was largely an administrative process.
In accordance with Clause 21(4) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, the consolidated Ku-ring-gai DCP will come into effect on the same day as Ku-ring-gai’s consolidated Local Environmental Plan.
Amendment to Part 14D for 45-47 Tennyson Avenue and 105 Eastern Road, Turramurra
On 28 July 2020 Council resolved to adopt the Ku-ring-gai Development Control Plan – Amendment to Part 14D to incorporate site specific controls for land at 45-47 Tennyson Avenue and 105 Eastern Road, Turramurra. There are no other amendments to the DCP.
In accordance with Clause 21(4) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, the amended Ku-ring-gai DCP came into effect on 5 August 2020.
