Naming of new road in North Turramurra

About the project

In accordance with the Roads Act 1993, Roads (General) Regulation 2008 Section 162 Council is seeking comment from the community on naming a new road in North Turramurra.

The road is in the new subdivision at No 59 Miowera Road, North Turramurra.

The proposed name is Jemimas Place.

Origin of name

This land was formally owned by The Girl Guides and was known as "Glengarry". The road is being named after Jemima Macdonell, daughter of Colonel Alexander Ranaldsan Macdonell, 15th Chieftain (ie. Earl) of Glengarry, Scotland.
