Bryce Sportsground, St Ives

Council is considering a new off leash dog park at Bryce Sportsground in St Ives.

We are seeking the views of the local community about this proposal before we make a final decision.

What is being proposed

The dog off leash park at Barra Brui Sportsground in St Ives may close if Council proceeds with a synthetic turf field at the site. As a result, Council is proposing Bryce Sportsground St Ives becomes an off leash dog park.

Bryce Sportsground is considered suitable due to its close proximity to Barra Brui Sportsground and its underutilisation as a sportsground. The map below outlines the proposed location of the off leash dog area.

If a leash free dog park is established at the site new facilities will be installed such as fencing, seating, appropriate pathways, dog bag dispensers and disposal bins, a bubbler/tap and appropriate signage.

Have your say

We would like to know what you think about the proposal.

Note that the establishment of this new off leash dog park is dependent on the installation of the synthetic turf sportsfield at Barra Brui Sportsground.
