The Art Centre offers classes for all levels of experience and ability. Our classes are held in light, airy studios providing a stimulating atmosphere in which to work. Jewellery studio (morning)

When: Friday
Time: 9am - 12pm
Fee: $270* per nine-week term

Be introduced to the ancient art and craft of jewellery making in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere using sterling silver and base metals (copper, brass and nickel). This course is designed to guide student’s creativity and ideas in the production of finely crafted wearable pieces. Beginners learn to silver solder, cut, file, roller print and form metal to create their very own masterpieces like rings, earrings or pendants. Advanced and returning students are encouraged to develop their own style and have the opportunity to progress their skills in areas such as stone setting. For beginners through to those with more advanced skills.

*Students need to purchase metal and consumables including jewellery saw blades, silver solder and emery papers, some hand tools are provided. Some larger equipment/tools are provided. Continuing students have the opportunity to discuss jewellery specialist tools with the tutor.
