The Art Centre offers classes for all levels of experience and ability. Our classes are held in light, airy studios providing a stimulating atmosphere in which to work. Creative pottery - A journey with clay #1

Have fun and explore the tactile qualities of working with clay. This course will cover hand-building, wheelwork and sculptural forms, with emphasis on self expression. Beginners to advanced students are encouraged to express their creativity.

From timid beginners to advanced potters. The tactile sensuality of this forgiving medium will help find and extend your hidden talents. This flexible course covers sculptural forms, the wheel and hand-building.

Sculpture #10

Using life models as inspiration, explore the sensuous and tactile qualities of the sculptural form in clay. Students will be guided through self-initiated projects, exploring media such as soapstone, sandstone, plaster and resins.

Ceramic hand building and surface treatments #17

Ceramics is a wonderful form of self expression. In this course we will learn surface treatment techniques, with your choice of hand building or wheel throwing skills. Learn to create your own individual style. Each student will have one on one time with the teacher to talk about creative ideas and plans. This course welcomes all levels of experience.

Pottery wheel and sculptural hand building #26

Create ceramics in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Use basic coil, wheel throwing and hand building fundamentals to create your works. From pinch pot cups, wheel thrown bowls to hand built animals or portrait sculpture, this class is open to all forms of ceramic creativity. In addition to class discussions, students will also have one on one time with the tutor to help them develop. Suitable for all levels.
