Towards abstraction #15

This is a class for those who want to take their art into abstraction, with a process of learning and experimenting with tools, mediums, methods and techniques - this includes making handmade brushes and tools. Each week students look at different artists via video and images, and their approach to abstraction - inquiring into styles and expressions helping to understand our own visual language. Connecting with emotion, taking risks, trust and intuition are integral to creating abstract art. Integrating drawing throughout and extending into mixed media. Enjoy the process and the result whilst increasing your understanding of colour, shape, design, texture, value and line. All welcome - some prior experience in drawing and painting is helpful.
