Fondant rose cake topper workshop

This two hour workshop will include:

  • introduction to working with fondant
  • basic fondant techniques
  • guided and practical exercise in making fondant cake toppers

By the end of the workshop, participants will take home their beautifully crafted fondant cupcake topper.

An evening with Richard Glover

Join author, ABC radio presenter, newspaper columnist and all round funny guy Richard Glover at Gordon Library for a special evening as we celebrate Library Lovers Week.

Richard Glover is the author of many books, including the prize-winning memoir Flesh Wounds. He presents Drive on 702 ABC Sydney and the comedy program Thank God It’s Friday on ABC local radio.

Copies of Richard Glover’s books will be available to purchase.

Chinese New Year celebrations

Year of the Dog

Join us as we celebrate Chinese New Year 2018—the Year of the Dog. Included in the festivities are Chinese calligraphy and lily flower making workshops and demonstrations, live Chinese music and displays. You can drop into Gordon Library between 10am and 12 noon for the demonstrations, however bookings are essential for the workshops.

Melita Thomas is the co-founder and editor of Tudor Times, a repository of information about Tudors and Stewarts in the period 1485 - 1625. "The King's Pearl: Henry VIII and his daughter Mary" is her first book.
