Get in Ku-ring-gai Library's good books!

good and bad angel emoji characters

Get back in our good books and bring back your overdue library items between 1 – 14 December and we will waive all overdue fines - no questions asked!

We are hoping our gesture of goodwill will be matched with a haul of forgotten books and other items.

How it works

Borrowers simply need to go to one of our Ku-ring-gai Library branches with their overdue items and present their library card between 1 and 14 December to have any fines waived.

The fine waiver only applies however to overdue items, not those that are lost or damaged.

Extra library staff will be on hand to assist borrowers returning items during the amnesty period.

Where can I drop off my overdue items

All our Ku-ring-gai Library branches are participating in the amnesty - in Gordon, Lindfield, St Ives and Turramurra.

Items can also be returned via the after hours chutes for borrowers unable to attend the library during opening hours.

When

We will be waiving overdue fines on all items received between Saturday 1 December and Friday 14 December.

Mayor's Christmas Appeal

If those participating in the amnesty feel like it, Ku-ring-gai Library will also be collecting hamper and toy donations for the Mayor's Christmas Appeal.
