We offer a range of support for community activities such as charity events, festivals, frontline services and family functions.
Discounted facility hire
We provide a discounted rate on booking fees for community groups and families using halls or meeting rooms for appropriate purposes.
Your group or club can also request a fee waiver for a specific event or activity. Waivers may be granted in full or in part, and are assessed on a first come basis.

Additional services such as cleaning and insurance are not subject to discount.
Community sporting organisations will automatically be charged a subsidised rate for seasonal hire of sporting facilities.
Rebates are available to groups renting a facility under a lease/licence arrangement. The level of rebate provided is assessed based on:
- financial need
- if the rebate is required short or long term
- the group's strategies for meeting future increases in rental fees
- current revenue raising activities
- whether the group receives financial assistance from other government sources
- need for the group's service
- financial capacity to pay based on past audited finance reports
