About

We invite you and 10 of your students from grades 10, 11 and 12 to take part in the 2020 Mental Health Youth Forum to be held on Tuesday, 7 April 2020 at Macquarie University.

The purpose of the day is to raise awareness about the important themes of mental health and resilience and to provide young people with the opportunity to have their voices heard and plan for the future. Over a 9 year period, the successful format and engaging facilitators at the Mental Health Forum has attracted participation from schools across the region.

Highlights of the day include:

  • Local young people sharing their lived experiences with a mental health issue.
  • Q&A panel giving students an opportunity to ask questions related to mental health.
  • A Take It Back Project for students and school staff to ensure the messages delivered throughout the day are actioned within the school community.
  • Professional development sessions for teachers.

Brought to you by Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Youth Network, Ryde Hunters Hill Interagency in association with Macquarie University Centre for Emotional Health.
