St Ives Medieval Faire

First held in September of 2014, the St Ives Medieval Faire is an annual event transporting visitors back through the centuries to the time of chivalrous knights, sword and shield, and life crafted by hand. The Faire has quickly become on of Australia's premier living history events, attracting close to 20,000 visitors each year, including re-enactors and vendors from around Australia.

The Faire caters to hard core history buffs and casual visitors alike, with attractions including:

  • a Medieval Village, which features re-enactors demonstrating daily life and past times from medieval times
  • Australia's only solid lance joust
  • a working trebuchet
  • cannon demonstrations
  • a birds of prey show
  • costume contests
  • artisan market stalls
  • archery demonstrations and instruction
  • live musicians
