About

This event is presented by Dr Alex Austin, Ku-ring-gai Council's Environmental Programs Officer and Bee expert.

In this webinar he will talk about some of the do’s and don’ts of putting up a bee hotel, what to look for if you’re buying a hotel, or if you’re making one yourself, as well as how to place it to give it the best chance of gaining residents. He will also talk about how to maintain your hotel and why this is important for ensuring healthy, long-term populations of local bees in your garden. You will also get to see some of the bees and other residents that you can expect to find in your hotels and what materials they favour for their nests.

This will be delivered via a Zoom webinar and details to those attended will be provided closer to the event date.
