Talks by horticultural experts, native plant sales and wildflower displays, guided walks, food and drink stalls, a trackless train, pond dip netting, music and dance, children’s craft and story-telling and an Australian wildlife display will all be part of this year’s Festival entertainment.
Artists and sculptors entering the Sculpture Walk art competition will demonstrate the use of recycled or natural materials in their artworks which will be sympathetic to the Garden’s bushland environment.
A total of $5,200 in cash prizes for winning artworks is on offer, funded by Ku-ring-gai’s Environmental Levy.
A first prize of $3,000 will be awarded, $1,500 for second and $500 for third.
The George Caley Peoples Choice Award of $100 will also be presented to one artist and a selected voter.
