"Find Your Treasure" - Creative Writing with Wendy Fitzgerald

Workshop and writing competition

Have you ever wanted to write your own stories but aren’t quite sure how to get started? Children are invited to a special creative writing workshop with local author Wendy Fitzgerald.

Wendy Fitzgerald is a teacher with a Grad Dip in Primary Music and an MA in Children’s Literature and Literacy. She is the proud Co-President of CBCA NSW Northern Sydney Sub-Branch. Wendy teaches school holiday creative writing workshops at Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville and she’s a tutor for the Sydney Story Factory in Redfern. She is a role model for the Books in Homes Program.

Wendy loves to encourage kids to enjoy reading and to write their own stories.

In these workshops at Turramurra Library Wendy is looking to help kids ‘Find their Treasure’ and enter the writing competition.

This competition is open to all kids who attend the workshops.

They can write about anything- just include the word ‘treasure’ somewhere in the story.
