We run a range of fun and interesting seminars and events for seniors throughout the year.

An exciting program of seminars, classes and excursions are being planned for 2017.

Qi Gong class

Wednesdays from 3 May - 21 June, 9.30am -10.30am

Our sessions will be with tutor Kang Ja Lee, who has 3rd level Shibashi Qigong and yoga meditation qualifications and has run falls prevention and other rehabilitation programs through Councils, Medicare Local and NSW Healthy Lifestyle programs. These classes will focus on gently flowing movements and breathing techniques.

Our bus will drop you and pick you up close to Circular Quay. From there you can wander at your own pace around the spectacular lighting displays.

Tuesday 20 June, 9.15am - 2.30pm

Enjoy a heritage train ride around the historical Newington Armory and explore the workshops and displays, then enjoy a delicious lunch in the old mess hall.

Dementia awareness seminar

Monday 26 June, 10.30am - 12pm

An educator from Alzheimer's Australia will address the myths surrounding dementia, and provide information on normal ageing and memory loss.  Learn how to maximise your brain health and reduce the risk of developing dementia.
