Council requests quotations for goods and services as the need arises. All written quotations will soon be sought electronically via Council’s Supplier Gateway- VendorPanel system. You can register your business to receive email alerts for relevant business opportunities.
VendorPanel is provided free for Suppliers and is an open marketplace where suppliers administer their own accounts and are able to update business details as they change. If you are a local business that would like to do business with Council, please click on the link below to get started. It would be useful to have your organisations details, electronic logo if you have one and email address for your main contacts ready before you proceed.
Ku-ring-gai Council is now using an eQuotes platform named ‘VendorPanel’ to simplify the way quotes are sought from Local Suppliers. VendorPanel is a web based eProcurement system used by hundreds of organisations to increase transparency and compliance in quote-based purchasing from approved suppliers. We refer to it as our Supplier Gateway, which is accessible by all Council staff involved in seeking quotations for goods or services.
Benefits for Suppliers
Council is now using VendorPanel to manage all quotations and local preferred suppliers. This includes a range of supplier relationships - from formally selected panels, to pre-qualified supplier lists and informal contractor groupings by category of work..
VendorPanel gives Local Suppliers an easy and consistent way to hear about quote opportunities from Council.
- Easy to set up – just add your business details and relevant compliance documents
- Provides a consistent RFQ format and process.
- Simplifies management of Compliance documents for Council
- Gives Council staff an easy way to send out quotes, increasing the chances of you hearing about opportunities to quote
- Allows you to manage multiple supplier lists from one account
- Easily download reports on all the requests you received, with a record of what you responded to
The eQuote system allows Council Officers to request quotes from 2 types of supplier categories, Ku-ring-gai Panels (1) and the ‘Marketplace’ (2).
Ku-ring-gai Panel Category (1)
When registering with VendorPanel, you will first need to check if your business falls into a ‘Ku-ring-gai Panel’ category.
Ku-ring-gai Panel Category Suppliers are required to upload compliance documentation (such as copies of insurance policies etc.) in order to become prequalified for quote requests.
It may also be a requirement for some quotations that suppliers undertake a Conserve™ WHS Induction prior to carrying out work for Council. You will be advised of this in the Request for Quotation when it is issued.
Conserve™ WHS Inductions are carried out by suppliers prior to commencing works after contract terms have been signed off. After completing the induction, those doing works for Council will be issued with a photo card.
For further information check out the Conserve™ website.
