Early bird tickets on sale for A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Published on 14 December 2018

Shakespeare’s much loved comedy will be performed in a special one-off outdoor production at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden in February.

If you loved previous productions of Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night at the Wildflower Garden, you will love this Essential Theatre twilight performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream on Sunday 24 February at 5pm. The performance will finish around 7pm, just before sunset.

For over 500 years A Midsummer Night’s Dream has woven its spell worldwide. The story is about four young lovers who find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites play and fairies rule. Bottom, Quince and their bumbling mates present a play within a play and leading mischief-maker Puck ensures that the course of true love is anything but smooth and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue.

The 24 February performance will be set in the delightful garden setting of Lambert’s Clearing at the Wildflower Garden. Bring a rug or low chair and your own picnic to enjoy while you watch the performance unfold.  As Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden is a licensed venue, no BYO is permitted.

Alternatively fine wines, gourmet pizzas, cheese platters, picnic hampers & deck-chairs are all available to purchase at the venue.

Early bird tickets can bought online until 31 January when tickets revert to the full price.

The Wildflower Garden is located at 420 Mona Vale Road St Ives, free parking is available at the venue and gates open at 3pm on the day.
