Another award for Ku-ring-gai Council’s annual reporting

Council has been recognised for a fifth year for the quality and breadth of its annual report.

Council received the award this month for the excellent standard of its 2018-2019 Annual Report in the government reporting category.

The Awards are open to all public and private industry sectors in Australia and Asia and are an opportunity for organisations to benchmark their reports against world best practice for annual reports.

According to Australasian Reporting Awards, the very high standard of gold award reports makes them reporting models for others to follow.

Ku-ring-gai Council’s annual report was again recognised for the ‘high quality coverage’ of Council’s performance and achievements during the 2018-2019 financial year.

Mayor Jennifer Anderson said the Council had received four previous gold awards for the quality of its annual reporting. “This fifth gold shows our consistent dedication to high quality annual reporting to our community and other stakeholders.”

“As an organisation we strive to be open and honest with information,” she said.

All NSW Councils are required to lodge their annual reports and audited financial statements with the NSW Office of Local Government in November each year.

Ku-ring-gai Council’s 2019-2020 Annual Report will be publicly available by early December at kmc.nsw.gov.au
