Celebrate Ku-ring-gai’s rich multiculturalism this Australia Day though music, dance and food at Ku-ring-gai Council’s free community event.
Christmas is just around the corner, but soon after Australians everywhere will be celebrating our national day on Friday 26 January 2018.
Ku-ring-gai Council’s Australia Day celebrations will once again be held at Bicentennial Park, West Pymble from 10.30am to 2pm on the day.
Head to the park to enjoy a range of entertainment and activities, including a live stage show featuring the Wild Aussies Kids Show, plus bush band Handpicked, an Aussie reptile show and a range of cultural dance performances. Mayor Jennifer Anderson will also welcome a number of new Australians making their pledge as part of a special citizenship ceremony.
Children will love the games and amusement rides, sheep shearing, sheep dog demonstrations and roaming performers.
After the event ends at 2pm, the public are encouraged to make their way to the Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre next to Bicentennial Park for an afternoon of pool entertainment and activities.
Council recommends catching the free shuttle bus from Gordon train station to the event as parking is limited.
The event is proudly supported by major sponsor Crystal Productions, along with event partners Savills and YMCA and media partner Vision China Times.
