Carols, fresh produce and arts and crafts are just some of the activities on offer as Ku-ring-gai gets ready for Christmas.
That Great Market at Lindfield will have a decidedly Christmas feel on Sunday 17 December at the East Lindfield Community Hall and is perfect for that last-minute festive gift. Stalls include quality homewares, fashion, jewellery, art, fair trade and ethical products, children’s goods that are both original and unusual. The market is open between 9am and 2pm and offers undercover parking, easy access and a children’s playground next door.
Turramurra fresh produce market will be on from 8am on Wednesday 20 December at Karuah Park, offering organic and gourmet food including fruit & veg, meat, seafood, cheese, dairy, sweet treats. This is the final market for 2017 before it returns on Wednesday 17 January.
On Sunday 17 December between 2pm and 5pm West Pymble Bowling Club is celebrating the festive season with a Christmas party. Members and non-members are welcome to come along to the party, which will include free barefoot bowls, ham raffles and lucky door prizes, carols by the green, sausage sizzles and entertainment for the kids including a jumping castle and face painting. The bowling club is located at 2 Prince of Wales Drive West Pymble.
The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden is hosting special Christmas craft sessions for children aged 3-7 on Wednesday 20 December and Thursday 21 December between 10am and 11.30am. If you’re craving carols for that true feeling of Christmas, there are carol services at Knox Grammar School and St Martin’s Killara. Knox will host traditional carols and a choral performance by the Knox Gallery Choir between 8pm and 9.30pm on Friday 22 December and the public are warmly invited to attend. St Martin’s Anglican Church at Killara has a Christmas Eve service featuring carols starting at 6pm on Sunday 24 December.
