Nominations open for the 2019 Ku-ring-gai NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards

Ku-ring-gai Council is looking for unsung heroes who have made a contribution to the local community.

Each year on Australia Day the Council recognises the outstanding work of local residents and volunteers with the NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards.

The Awards aim to recognise Ku-ring-gai residents who have demonstrated excellent citizenship and a contribution to the local or wider community.

There are four award categories; Citizen of the Year; Young Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year and Outstanding Service to the Ku-ring-gai community, which can be for an individual or a group.

Guidelines and nomination forms are available on Council’s website as well as at the Council Chambers and Ku-ring-gai library branches.

Nominations can be submitted online as well.

Nominations close on 23 November 2018.

The awards will be presented at the Australia Day celebrations on 26 January 2019 at Bicentennial Park, West Pymble.
