Community commemorations are being hosted in Gordon, Roseville and St Ives.
Remembrance Day falls on a Sunday this year and will also mark the concluding commemorations for the Centenary of the First World War.
- A number of services are being held in Ku-ring-gai to mark the occasion, with the first taking place on Friday 9 November at the Roseville Memorial Club, 64 Pacific Highway Roseville. The Roseville RSL Sub Branch will host a public Remembrance Day Ceremony in the Memorial Garden at the Club from 10.45am, which will be attended by Mayor Jennifer Anderson.
- Another special service will be held at 9.30am at St Martins Killara on Sunday 11 November. Refreshments will be served in the hall after the service. Everyone is welcome.
- A special Remembrance Day Service commemorating the Centenary of the Cessation of Hostilities in World War One will take place on Sunday 11 November from 3pm at the Anglican Church of St John the Evangelist Gordon.
- An evening Remembrance Day Service will be hosted by Masada College St Ives in the school’s Lynette Phillips Hall between 7.45pm and 9.15pm on Sunday 11 November. The public are welcome to attend.
