Upgrades to Bicentennial Park West Pymble commence next week

Published on 2 February 2018

As part of the work the existing pedestrian bridges and amenities block will be temporarily out of action.

The work will see the existing two timber pedestrian bridges progressively replaced with wider versions to improve accessibility.

An upgraded toilet block with a new roof, improved lighting and layout will also form part of the upgrade.

Work will start from Monday 5 February and the upgrade expected to be fully complete by May. Temporary toilets will be on site for the duration next to the existing block.

The major bridge connecting the Lofberg Rugby Oval to the Golden Grove playground will be replaced. The bridge will be closed from Wednesday 7 February until the end of May. During this time, residents can use the bridge at the bottom of the adjacent path to cross the creek.

The small timber bridge near the scout hall area will be replaced and also be closed during this time.

For all enquiries about the project please contact the Council’s customer service centre on 9424 0000 during business hours.
