In my column two weeks ago I spoke about the Council’s improvements to the development application process in Ku-ring-gai. As a result, all development applications can now be lodged without the need for printed copies of plans, architectural drawings and other documentation.
Our Council is now turning its attention to how we interact with our customers and what improvements we can make to service delivery.
We are inviting members of the public to complete an online survey on our website.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and will help us create improvements in Council services based on your needs. The survey is open until Sunday 30 June; printed copies of the survey can also be completed at our customer service centre at 818 Pacific Highway if you don’t have computer access.
I’m delighted to say that tickets have gone on sale for the St Ives Medieval Faire, which will be held this year on Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 September at St Ives Showground. Early bird tickets can be purchased online and offer up to 20% off the normal gate price if you buy before 30 June.
This year’s Faire will see over 230 historical enthusiasts travel from across Australia to St Ives to recreate an authentic experience of medieval times.
Highlights include the spectacular jousting tournament, birds of prey demonstrations; live battle recreations; archery displays and the authentic Medieval Village which depicts life through the five ages of medieval times.
There will be a large kids entertainment area including play battles, puppetry, dress-ups, face-painting, animal farm, juggling, dance lessons, craft and stories; a tavern featuring ales specially crafted for the event, tasty themed food and live music. In short, it’s a great day out for everyone and an unforgettable experience right here in Ku-ring-gai!
