Lindfield Village Hub update
Last week the Council voted to endorse the preparation of a planning proposal for the Lindfield Village Hub.
The proposal will be based on a nine-storey height limit, which is consistent with existing development in Lindfield town centre.
This decision by our Council signals the beginning of one of the most significant urban renewal projects on the North Shore for many decades.
The Lindfield Village Hub aims to provide up-to-date community facilities including a new library, open space, community rooms, a child care facility, underground car parking and new housing near the railway station.
It's heartening to to see progress on the long-awaited renewal of Lindfield local centre and other local centres in Ku-ring-gai.

St Johns Avenue streetscape upgrade
Thank you to everyone who came along to our pop-up park in St Johns Avenue last Friday and Saturday, aimed at showing how the area could become pedestrian-friendly and a haven for outdoor dining.

Thank you also to those who came to the Wildflower Garden’s annual festival on Sunday.
Spring is definitely in the air in Ku-ring-gai, with two other events coming up to celebrate the arrival of warmer weather.
On Sunday 8 September Swain Gardens at Killara is holding an Open Day to show off the beauty of its springtime flowers.
Council has renovated the outdoor spaces at the Gardens and they can be hired for small events such as weddings or parties.
Also on Sunday 8 September, Council is supporting the St Ives Food & Wine Festival at St Ives Village Green.
There will be over 90 food and wine stalls plus plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
