About Us

Our Kids Klub and Kids Getaway programs provide safe, fun holiday care for children 5 - 14 years of age in West Pymble and St Ives. We offer in-centre activities and workshops, along with a range of exciting excursions.

Kids Klub is aimed at children 5 - 9 years of age, while Kids Getaway caters for children aged 9 - 14.

Changes to bookings procedures

Booking Form

As a result of parent feedback we have reviewed and updated our booking form. From June 2012 families will be required to complete and submit the Annual booking form once and then each holidays during the 2012 -2013 year they will only need to submit the Program booking form which will include child details, days of bookings and authorisations. As this is new from June 2012 if you have any problems please do not hesitate to contact us during the bookings period for assistance.

Booking opening dates

Due to overwhelming demand we are now changing the bookings opening dates to ensure that we are meeting the Priority of Access guidelines set by the Federal Government. As a result of this we will be opening bookings on stages to ensure that consideration of Priority upon booking is achieved. Please click here and read the Priority of Access section for more information about the guidelines

The Priority of Access booking dates are as follows:

Bookings Open Monday 4 June 2012 to the following-

Priority 1: child at risk of serious abuse or neglect

Priority 2: a child of a single parent or of parents who satisfy the work, training, study test (Section 14 of the New Tax System)

Bookings Open Monday 11 June 2012 to the following-

Priority 3: any other child - (leisure bookings)

July 2012 Program Important Dates

Booking Instructions


1. Download and read the Parents' Newsletter for important information on our vacation care program

2. Download the July Program: Available online from Monday 4 July 2012

3. All families - Download the 2012-2013 Annual Enrolment Form: Available online from Monday 4 July 2012 (this form only needs to be submitted once during the 2012-2013 Financial year, however if your circumstances or details change you will be required to submit a new form)

3. Select the days and activities you wish your child to attend and submit the July program booking form: Available online from Monday 4 July 2012

* NOTE: Bookings will not be processed unless all details are provided. Ensure you provide your Customer Reference Number (CRN) and date of birth on booking forms.

6. Lodge your booking according to Priority of Access booking opening dates by the following methods:

  • E-mail (Preferred method) your completed booking form to vacationcare@kmc.nsw.gov.au or
  • Posting your completed booking form with cheque or money order to: Leisure Coordinator, Ku-ring-gai Council, Locked Bag 1056, Pymble NSW 2073 or
  • Paying in person with your completed booking form at Council Chambers, Level 4, 818 Pacific Highway, Gordon

7. All bookings will be confirmed in writing via email or post within seven days. If you have not received confirmation after seven days, contact Council on 9424 0904 or email vacationcare@kmc.nsw.gov.au.

 

Fees

The daily fee for in-centre vacation care in July 2012 is $37 per child. Excursions and workshops incur additional fees.

Child Care Benefit and Child Care Tax Rebate are available. Please register with the Family Assistance Office on 13 64 50.

Feedback

Quality Improvement Plan Update

The Ku-ring-gai Council Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) draft for the National Quality Framework is now complete. The next stage of completing this working document is to obtain parent and community feedback. We would appreciate it if parents could take the time to look at the QIP and provide staff with feedback, comments, questions or suggestions. There are copies of the QIP in all centres, so should you wish to review a copy please speak to staff or obtain your copy from the parent sign in and out table.
