Leisure & Cultural Development

Council's Leisure and Cultural Development Unit offers activities, services and events to stimulate and support local cultural activity. Council also provides opportunities for the local community to become involved in community festivals, public art and cultural development projects.

Cultural Development aims to:

Engage the community in community life
Provide opportunities for participation in artistic and cultural pursuits
Support community initiatives (and organisations) in the area of art and cultural development
Recognise the local community culture as one that values it's heritage, it's built and natural environment, diversity, personal safety and family living
Encourage community pride and a sense of belonging
