Background information
The Seventh Day Adventist Hospital site in Wahroonga is the subject of a major project application, to be determined by the Department of Planning. The project seeks expansion of the hospital, over 900 dwellings (mostly units), more aged care, nurses training centre, commercial development and relocation and expansion of the school. The Director General of the Department of Planning has issued requirements to be addressed by the proponent in their Environmental Assessment. Councillors and staff and nominated members of the community have attended two meetings of the Community Reference Group.

Two community reference group meetings have been held and the proponent is now developing the concept plan for submission to the Department of Planning.
