Art and Recreation

Parks and Bushland Reserves

Parks are areas of community or Crown land not associated with sports grounds and sports facilities or large tracts of bushland. Parks are areas of passive recreation that range from local neighbourhood green spaces to large and historically interesting sites such as Echo Point Park at Roseville. Wahroonga Park, Pymble Soldiers Memorial Park and The Swain Gardens which are examples of period landscapes containing formal gardens with mature planted trees.

Many parks contain playground equipment. Parks with bushland pockets or canopy trees may act as important biological linkages to larger areas of bushland. Please click on the links below for further information.
