Families in Nature

Come along to the Festival of Wildflowers at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden on Sunday 26 August, 9am - 4pm, to explore the natural world. This year's theme, Families in Nature, encourages you to discover the great outdoors with your whole family.

There will be plenty of fun, educational activities, including:

  • guided bushwalks with plant, insect and animal experts
  • native plant sales and displays
  • native animal presentations from Australian Wildlife Displays
  • CSIRO Young Scientists
  • Kids' Bush Craft Corner
  • Ranger Den's Minibeast Walk
  • Professor Potty's Bushwalk
  • dip-netting for tadpoles
  • scones and sausage sizzle from Turramurra Rotary

The festival is on rain or shine. It doesn't matter if you're nine or 99 years old - grab your hat or brolly, family and friends, and make a day of it.

The Wildflower Garden is located at 420 Mona Vale Road, St Ives. For more info call 9424 0353 or email kwg@kmc.nsw.gov.au.
